The solution enables SMS based Emergency Warnings to be sent to mobile telephones based on the actual location of the mobile handset at the time of an emergency, including residents and people travelling through a threatened area.
The highly advanced system is deemed to be one of the most advanced in the world and provides besides locating mobile handsets in danger, advanced SMS throttling to optimize network performance to secure delivery and avoid congestion during emergency situations including automated statistics to see which phones have actually received messages.
Mobilaris launched the world’s first Location Based Emergency Alert System in November 2012 in Australia.
